Wedding photographer Llanelli | Emma & Adam

Wedding photographer Llanelli

Emma Jean & Adam

As a wedding photographer, Llanelli is a popular locaton for us. We were last month lucky enough to shoot the stunning wedding of Emma-Jean and Adam at the Stradey Park Hotel, Llanelli. Its always a fun day for us when we are in the company of such amazing, happy and fun wedding guests and on this day the guests were on top form! Stopping off at Parc Howard for some bride and groom portraits the weather was simply perfect… not too sunny and a descent amount of cloud cover.

This wedding was about the 6th referral for us from a group of friends. So we were delighted to see so many guests at the wedding who we had seen at previous weddings we had shot! The ceremony was at the St David & Cyfelach Church, Llangyfelach, and it was onto Llanelli for the photographs. Parc Howard is a popular location for weddings that are at the Stradey Park Hotel. The mansion and the park itself  were given to Lady Howard Stepney  in  1912 and converted into a park. It was opened by Lady Howard Stepney on her first wedding anniversary on Saturday 21 September 1912, so it has a little bit of history when it comes to wedding photography. I’m not sure if any photos were actually taken on that September day back in 1912 but for us we had two bags full of photographer gear ready for the shoot!

Both Emma and Adam were a pleasure to be around and with a two photographer package booked with Kapow it meant the while one of us posed the couple and shot with a wide angle lens the other was able to capture some fantastic images from a distance with the long lens. The flow to the wedding shoot of the bride and groom is important to us, and we try to make the couple feel relaxed as possible, this ensures the best outcome for the photographs.

I know Emma has been desperate to see a few sneaky photos of the day… so here they are Emma!

Charlotte&Richard – wedding photographer Neath

Wedding photographer Neath

Charlotte & Richard booked Kapow Photography back in 2010 for their wedding at St Catwg’s church Cadoxton, Neath and The Glyn Clydach Hotel. Wedding cars for the day were also the very popular Love Bugs classic vw campervan and beetles. We have worked with Love bugs on quite a few weddings now not just in Neath but all over South Wales. Its a very unique idea for wedding transport and adds a little fun to the morning of the wedding when a classic camper turns up!

Despite the early morning June rain, but with beach boys music playing loud from the vdub them cool boys at love bugs ensured the the sun broke through the moment the bride and groom stepped out of the church! As wedding photographer Neath we are always at the ready with a photography plan B for weather such as this we proceeded to get some of the formal group portraits out of the way before the skies turned deep grey on us once more. The wedding venue which is popular with Neath wedding photographers is situated on the hillside with some stunning views over the Neath Valley. The 15 acres of gardens and grounds there ensure we as wedding photographers are spoilt for choice when it comes to taking the bride and groom portraits.
So we’d like to say a big thank you to Colin and Mark for controlling the weather!!! and a big congratulations once again to Charlotte and Richard…

Here is a lovely message from Charlotte…

“Thank you so so much for a fantastic day on our wedding! So many of our guests made such positive comments on how naturally you both blended with the guests, they said it was so nice to feel relaxed whilst photos were being taken. I can’t wait to see the photos! Also thanks for telling white lies to Richard Dave (telling him I was calm! If I seemed that way I can only put it down to how relaxed you both were when you arrived at the house).

You both put me at ease even though the weather wasn’t behaving, but I’m sure you got some great photos in that break in the rain we had. Anyway, again, I can’t say it enough, thank you for being there with us every step of our special day! See you at both Cerys & Mark and Leah & Ryans weddings!”
