Well you can tell its getting near to christmas, as the studio photography is now coming thick and fast as people are wanting photos of their families printed to canvas for christmas presents. Dave has been working hard in the studio and also on location and has produced some stunning photography of children in santa hats and costumes! Meanwhile we here at kapow towers are preparing for what should be a fantastic photo opportunity at Cardiff castle on 5th Dec. We have a christmas wedding there and last friday took the opportunity to check out the castle in preperation and also had a sneaky peek at the new St Davids shopping centre while we were there!
Myself and Dave were shown around Cardiff castle and had some fantastic test shots of what will be a great evening wedding there on Sat 5th December. No doubt Cardiff will be lit up like a xmas tree and this presents itself as a photography challenge and also glittering opportunity to get some fantastic results from our cameras
We already have some great ideas ahead of this wedding, in the spectacular 2000 year old venue at the centre of Cardiff. You can be sure our flash guns will be charged and tripods ready for this night time photography event. The banqueting hall, candles, port cullis and arab room in the castle is all set up as a stunning wedding venue in cardiff and to set the whole scene the red carpet laid and welsh flag flown from the tower for what promises to be a unique and stunning wedding.
Night time photography and street lights can produce very vivid and electric effects and we are hoping to get some shots from outside the castle aswell as the ones inside. They say a unique venue can really add to wedding photography and Im in no doubt that the wedding at Cardiff castle will be sure to do exactly that!
Its not the first time ofcourse that we have shot a wedding in a castle. Back in september we had the privelage of shooting Paul and Louisa's wedding in Clearwell castle in Gloucester. The photos opposite shows exactly what I mean when I say the venue really can make it a very fun and enjoyable day for the wedding photograper. We'll be sure to be blogging about the Cardiff wedding and showing you some similar Welsh castle photos once we are done, so watch this space!
